Buyers have been able to negotiate far higher discounts from the original selling price. This comes at a time when sellers are more than willing to dispose off their property assets.

Semi-detached houses were sold for almost 6% lesser than their asking price according to the National Association of Estate Agents.

Stuart Clarke of the NAEA said "Where vendors are prepared to be realistic with their asking prices, sales are being made. Many of the offers being made are still 10pc to 15pc below asking prices even though a sensible price is being asked. Some buyers are walking away if their first offer is not accepted"

It is however much better than January when prices were 15 percent higher than what people were willing to pay. After negotiation prices would fall more than 30,000 pounds.

The current situation shows that the market is recovering and the time of investors to make quick gains will soon come to an end. It is expected that as more and more first time investors enter the market the prices will slowly rise.
