According to the BBC News, the Taylor Wimpey company feels very optimistic that the housing industry in the UK is starting to improve. It is starting to appear as if the housing industry is set to see slow but steady improvements over the next several months. The economy and unemployment rates are still seeing some struggles, however, this does not seem to be having as much of an impact on the housing market as first thought.

The housing market saw a shaky start in the beginning of the year. However, in the last quarter, improvements are being seen in various segments of the housing market. Optimism is building not just for the sale of houses on the market but also for companies that build new homes. The Taylor Wimpey company is no exception.

So far in the year 2009, the number of orders Taylor Wimpey received for house building has increased to £971 million. Imagine the implications of a 73 per cent increase! This is without a doubt a reason for the Taylor Wimpey house construction firm to be optimistic about the future. The other good news for Taylor Wimpey and other construction firms is that there do not seem to be as many cancellations in orders for new homes as there were in previous months.

Taylor Wimpey is hopeful for the future after having a difficult year in 2008. After Taylor Woodrow and George Wimpey merged in 2007, the new company saw a pre-tax loss of £1.97 billion last year. They are more than happy to see an increase in orders and a rise in the value of properties. The prices for houses are increasing at a rate of 1% or more.

Improvements in the housing market are also being seen in some other countries. This gives hope to real estate experts and building companies throughout the world.
